We continue to find
interesting events to attend. Past events range from Los Angeles subway rides
to Watts Towers, Long Beach Aquarium and Pasadena to New Year Eve Symphony
performances at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. In between, we go to the
theater, museums, winery tours, musical events, garden tours, Channel Island
excursions, and special events of all kinds. We are open to doing that
which the membership wants to do if it is entertaining, mind broadening or
just enjoyable. Because of our members varied backgrounds and interests and
curiosities, there are always many events that appeal to a group large enough
to justify organizing an outing. Members are encouraged to make suggestions for events. If there is insufficient group interest, sometimes several members share an outing as a personal activity, such as going to the a race track, attending flower arranging class, sharing foreign travel or belonging to garden clubs. Making friends is easy and from these friendships, companionship results in finding something to do with someone with whom you like to associate. |
